To engineer immune organoids from pediatric patient tissues using induced-pluripotent stem cells (iPSC)
This study is a prospective Bayesian adaptive randomized phase II clinical trial of enhanced adjuvant therapy for newly diagnosed glioblastoma with partial surgical resection or short-term progression. The Stupp regimen is the standard treatment regimen (control group), while the experimental group receives enhanced treatment by combining different drugs or increasing the radiation dose based on the Stupp standard treatment regimen. Participants will undergo screening and evaluation according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the protocol, within 28 days prior to randomization. Patients who agree to participate in this study will sign an informed consent form (ICF) prior...
This is a prospective single-arm study of an enhanced assistance intervention for patients with unmet essential needs undergoing >10 fractions of radiotherapy comparing delay-free completion of radiotherapy in study participants to historic controls.
Building upon prior work, the investigator team developed a communication intervention for older adults with ADRD who are considering a decision about cancer management (adapted intervention: COACH-Cog). The investigators hypothesize that for patients with dual diagnoses of ADRD and cancer, COACH-Cog will increase autonomy support of care partners and patients in the decision-making process, leading to greater acknowledgement and support of cognitive concerns and cognitive-related goals, thereby improving goal concordant care. The investigators are conducting a pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT; cluster randomized by physician) including approximately 45 oncology clinicians...
This clinical trial tests how well entrectinib works to treat patients less than 3 years of age with NTRK 1/2/3 or ROS1 fused, high grade glioma or other central nervous system (CNS) tumors.
This is a prospective, observational study on approximately 70-100 Real World participants affected by LGS, DS, or TSC treated with Epidyolex® as prescribed in the summary of product characteristics. The eligible participants are expected to participate in the study for a duration of 52 weeks of treatment.
For GEP mixed neuroendocrine (NE) non-neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs) a key issue affecting prognosis is sometimes the difficulty in obtaining a timely diagnosis, as the NE component is often localized in deeper anatomical locations and/or becomes prevalent over time. The tissue material of biopsies may be not enough to define the NE component when this is particularly small and this could impact on therapeutic decision. Furthermore GEP NENs need to be characterized for potentially druggable biomarkers and liquid biopsy has clear advantage to the solid one to this aim. Here, we will exploit epigenetic differences characterizing NE tumors to build a DNA methylation-based...
This research study is being conducted to improve the quality of care of participants who have a diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancer (anal, colon, rectal, esophageal, stomach, small bowel, appendix, pancreas, gall bladder, liver, neuroendocrine tumor of gastrointestinal origin). This study has 3 components as follows- 1. Ensuring appropriate biomarker testing and evidence-based care: Biomarkers are molecules in the tumor or blood that indicate normal or abnormal processes in participant's body and may indicate an underlying condition or disease. Various molecules, such as DNA (genes), proteins, or hormones, can serve as biomarkers since they all...
JSI-1187-101 phase 1 study
The goal of this phase 1 dose finding study is to to assess the clinical tolerability and safety of escalated dose proton therapy in glioblastoma patients treated with multimodality treatment, according to treatment volume. The main questions it aims to answer are: - what is the maximum tolerated proton dose in glioblastoma patients? - is the maximum tolerated proton dose in glioblastoma patients dependent on treatment volume? - what is the recommended phase 2 proton dose in glioblastoma patients? Patients will be asked to undergo radiotherapy to step-wise escalated doses using proton therapy as part of their multimodality treatment. Patients will be...
