This reader study aims at assessing whether the radiologist aided with AI software has at least a non-inferior performance than without AI assistance in detecting brain metastases. 200 retrospective MRI images will be included in the study with 100 positive and 100 negative exams. Assessment will be completed by 12 readers with varying level of experience. This is a Retrospective Multiple-Reader Multiple-Case (MRMC) randomised study.
Postoperative cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage is a well-known complication that might occur after transnasal transsphenoidal adenomectomy at an incidence of 0.5-15% according to different literature reports. Persistent CSF leakage may lead to intracranial hypotension or meningitis, therefore aggressive management is mandatory. The treatment is immediate repair during transsphenoidal surgery once intraoperative CSF leakage is identified, with the adjunct of postoperative bed rest and/or lumbar drainage. However, due to the advances in endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery, some surgical teams have advocated that postoperative bed rest may not be necessary if appropriate repair...
A small tube will go through the respiratory tract and a non contact cauterization will be done to the inside tumor
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Cabergoline (Dostinex), a dopamine agonist which has been widely used to treat hyperprolactinemia, prolactinoma for many years, works to treat nonfunctioning pituitary adenoma (NFPA) in adults. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does cabergoline reduce the size of NFPA effectively when used as primary therapy? Participants will: Be 1:1 randomized into two groups. Either to take cabergoline or none for 48 weeks, Visit the clinic every 12 weeks for checkups and tests, Undergo scheduled imaging studies, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to measure the change of tumor size.
A retrospective crosssectional observational study of the effects of oncological treatment and frequent general anesthesia on neuropsychological development, psychosocial functioning (in terms of anxiety, depression, peer relations, perceived cognitive functioning and potential trauma) and health related quality of life in children and young adults who were treated or screened for retinoblastoma.
To determine the minimum scan duration for fluorine-18 positron-emitting radioactive isotope-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) scans performed on a total-body PET/CT scanner that results in non-inferior image quality to 18F-FDG PET/CT scans performed on a conventional PET/CT scanner. The subject population will be patients being staged for lung cancer, lymphoma, or melanoma.
This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cord blood-derived CAR-NK019 in the treatment of refractory/relapsed central nervous system lymphoma.
This research aims to explore the relationship between hormonal receptor expression and the clinical and histopathological characteristics of meningiomas. The underlying hypothesis is that hormonal receptor expression, as well as the methylation profile of their gene promoters, are associated with specific aspects of meningiomas and patients' clinical outcomes. The main objective is to study the correlation between the immunohistochemical expression of hormonal receptors and clinicopathological data. The secondary objectif is to study the correlation between the methylation profile of hormonal receptor gene promoters and their immunohistochemical expression.
This study will investigate the use of safety and feasibility of cryoablation in brain tumors
It has been suggested that pathologists' diagnostic accuracy and confidence could be improved if they gained access to additional clinical information and in-vivo clinical and dermoscopic images of melanocytic tumors. This study examines the effect of digital training for pathologists in interpreting dermoscopic and clinical skin tumor images. The primary outcome of the upcoming DAHT RCT (Dermoscopy Augmented Histology Trial, a randomized controlled trial) is the diagnostic value (accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity) for the intervention and control group. For this purpose, we need an expert agreeable MPATH-Dx classification and diagnosis for all DAHT cases. The DAHT...
